Interpreting the Lab

A series of 10 scientific illustration drawings created after a 3-week artist residency observing the biology lab team at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.

Drawings created from field notes, photographs, and sketches during the residency. The series includes illustrations of eggs, autoclave, elodea, shrimp, stem cells, larval fish development, plankton, termites, sea urchin, and zebrafish. The drawings were on display at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.
